Britt Bosse

Animal Sanctuary Photographer | Visual Advocate

Britt Bosse is an animal sanctuary photographer and visual storyteller devoted to capturing the individuality and inherent worth of rescued animals.

Although she began her photography journey exploring multiple genres, her work found its deepest meaning when her lifelong love for animals became the focus of her art. After adopting a plant-based lifestyle and learning more about the realities animals face in exploitative industries, Britt felt called to contribute in a tangible way. That calling led her to farm animal sanctuaries, where she began creating intimate portraits of rescued animals — individuals who once endured neglect, abandonment, or abuse and now experience safety, healing, and connection.

Through quiet, intentional imagery, Britt portrays each animal as she sees them: sentient beings with emotional depth, unique personalities, and an undeniable right to freedom. Her work highlights restored maternal bonds, friendships formed after rescue, and the profound transformation that compassion makes possible.

In addition to her sanctuary work, Britt photographs wildlife in their natural environments, capturing moments of coexistence, family bonds, and resilience in the wild. Whether in sanctuary pastures or untamed landscapes, her purpose remains the same: to portray animals as individuals deserving of respect and protection.

Britt believes photography can be a powerful form of advocacy — an invitation to see sanctuary residents not as commodities, but as individuals. Her images are created to foster empathy, shift perception, and contribute to a more compassionate future for animals.
